GPL: Vision FC Outclass Young Apostles 3-0 to Clinch First Win of the Season

Vision Football Club opened their 2027/27 Ghana Premier League with a resounding 3-0 triumph over Young Apostles at the Nii Adjei Kraku Park on Saturday.

A first-half brace from Setsofia Akwetey and a goal from Naziru Alhassan in the second half were enough for the Tema Newtown-based side.

The hosts stamped their authority and opened the scoring as early as the 5th minute through Naziru Alhassan Nyenye, who scored from a well-positioned tap-in.

Though Young Apostles kept their composure and tried to hit Vision on a counter, the home side doubled their lead in the 40th minute.

Setsofia scored from a deflected set piece before adding his brace in the 70th minute with a beautiful curler outside the 16-yard box.

In the 80th minute, skipper Ramsey of Young Apostles saw his long drive parried away by goalie Godwin Ametefe to keep his first clean sheet of the campaign.

The remaining fixtures from match day one continues tomorrow across all match venues.
