Head Coach of Port City Football Club, Christopher Ennin, has promised to continue with the legacy held at the Daasebre Boamah Dark II Park as the season progresses.
The venue, which serves as the home grounds for Port City, has yet to take a single defeat since the club gained promotion from the Division 2 League to the Division One League and subsequently competed in the Ghana Premier League for the first time.
During the 2025/26 Division One League, Port City maintained an unbeaten run of 15 games at home, where five ended in draws with 10 wins.
Port City has started their debut season in elite football in an impressive fashion; with four games so far, the Adonteng Royals have picked up two wins, drawn one, and lost one.
In all four games played, two have been played at the Daasebre Boamah Darko II Park, where on match day one against Ashgold 04, it ended in a pulsating 1-1 draw, and on match day three against Berekum Chelsea, it was a hard-fought 2-1 triumph.
Port City convincingly beat Gold Stars 2-0 at the Dun’s spark before painfully losing 1-0 to reigning champions, Medeama SC, away on match day three and four, respectively.
The lads will return to the Fortress on Sunday when they host Bechem United on match day five, a game Coach Christopher Ennin and his charges are keen on winning to keep their status in good shape.
Speaking to Port City TV ahead of the match, Coach Ennin emphasized the importance of keeping the status while he is ready to continue on that path together with his backroom staff.
“It is something that I came to meet, and I will do everything possible to maintain it. It is something that we will do, not only me but also with the help of my management, technical team, and the playing body. We are going to maintain that at home,” he noted.
Port City occupies the sixth position in the league with 7 points; after four games, a win against the Hunters on Sunday will place them in the top four.
