ŠK Slovan Bratislava has agreed to extend the contract of Rahim Ibrahim until the end of the 2029/30 season.

The 25-year-old midfielder has played 70 matches so far, in which he scored 7 goals.

“I am very glad that we agreed on a contract extension, and we believe that Rahim will show many more good moments in our jersey, and he will improve even more because his potential is enormous,” Ivan Kmotrík Jr., CEO of the club, said.

Rahim Ibrahim was transferred to Slovan at the beginning of 2025 from Trenčín and stands out for his versatility—besides his classic post in midfield, he could also jump at the tip of an attack.

He joined the Ghanaian club Accra Lions; he made his league debut back in 2021 in a Trenčín jersey.

He played a total of 127 matches in the Nike League and scored 14 goals in them.

In addition to his physical background and dueling skills, he also stands out with good finishing and has won two championship titles with Slovan.

“I am very happy and grateful for the confidence shown in me by the club. I am ready to give everything of myself and pay back what Slovan has invested in me. I already consider Bratislava as my home; I spent wonderful moments in the jersey of Slovan, and I believe more are still ahead of us. I am always thrilled to run onto the field in a white jersey and hear the cheers of our great fans. I am extremely excited for the continuation of this white chapter,” Rahim said.

He was part of the Black Stars squad who represented Ghana in the first two games of the 2027 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier, where Ghana lost 2-0 and 4-2 to Ivory Coast and the Gambia, respectively.
