CAFCC: Nations FC CEO Kennedy Ansah Unfazed Ahead of FC Diarra Return Clash in Accra 

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nations Football Club, Mr. Kennedy Ansah-Boakye, says preparations ahead of their must-anticipated CAF Confederations Cup return fixture are in full swing.

The reigning FA Cup champions will host Malian side FC Diarra at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 13.

Nations suffered a narrow 1-0 away defeat in the first leg last Sunday in Bamako, a result that the Ghanaian side is keen to overturn on home soil.

In a Facebook post by Mr. Boakye-Ansah, the team arrived in Ghana on Sunday, thanking God for traveling mercies.

According to him, they are poised to mark a historic feat in their maiden campaign, sparing no efforts.

“Preparations for the return leg against FC Diarra begin today. We are leaving no stone unturned to secure qualification to the next stage of the CAF Confederations Cup,” he posted. 

“We are unshaken by the result in Mali last Sunday. We’re in high spirits, and surely we will make Ghana proud. ” Mr. Boakye-Ansah added.

Speaking to Kumasi-based Akoma FM, he said, “Everything is set, and I can confirm to you that we will host FC Diarra at the Accra Sports Stadium this Sunday, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm.”

Nations FC will compete in the 2026/27 Ghana Division One League following their relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2025/26 season.
