Medeama Sporting Club suffered a humiliating 3-1 defeat to Congolese giants TP Mazembe in the second leg of the CAF Champions League on Saturday.
The reigning Ghanaian champions earlier picked a painful 1-0 defeat in the first leg in Tarkwa, hoping to overcome the deficit.
However, the results from both legs gave TP Mazembe a 4-1 aggregate progress to the next stage, while it marked the end of the road for Medema SC.
The hosts fired home the opener, through Patrick Mwaungulu, in the 3rd minute before Josue Kazema doubled the lead for TP Mazembe in the 19th.
In the 77th minute Patrick Mwaungulu registered his second to mark his brace before Medeama SC pulled a late consolation in the 89th from Dominic Amponsah.
The Ravens will now face either Club Africain or Djoliba AC in the next round, while Medeama SC will now shift their focus to domestic football as they hope to defend their title.
